Sometimes it only takes leopard tights

by Sophie on July 30, 2010

TGIF ladies!  What are you guys planning for the weekend?  I might as well be a cave man cause I can’t stand to be out in the heat.. probably just go catch a movie.  Maybe SALT?  Okay, my leopard tights look so cute with a simple black top & shorts.  Completed with yummy accessories like this vibrant red clutch and big gold ring.  The studded boots gives it that sexy rock-chic appeal that we all love.

I don’t know about you but I don’t like wearing multiple rings at once.  Two at the most but I prefer just one especially when it’s bold like this pyramid stud ring.  Weighty enough to use it as a weapon.  The lovely inspirational bracelet I’m wearing has the “Self Control” written on it.  A nice reminder for each & every shopping urge.  lol.  From Max & Chloe.

If you are interested in the shoes, they are Shiekh Carisa platform booties which are still on sale for $25 $49.97 at Shiekhshoes.com.  Oh, boy… these heels are taaaalllll so don’t plan to walk much but they are hella sexy for sure!

Mossimo top from Target, bebe shorts, Shiekh Carisa from Shiekh Shoes, Target leopard tights,
Volcom clutch from TJ Maxx, Dylan’s Pyramid Ring from Emitations, Be Charming bracelet from Max & Chloe

I’m Smitten

by Sophie on July 25, 2010

Twill jacket, sheer top with leopard tights, messy side braids, smoky eyes, and a stormy beach… makes me weak in the knees.  Do tell me, what makes you smitten today my dear?

i crave: lace tops

by Sophie on July 18, 2010

Hope you are enjoying this hot summer so far.  I envy those who live in Seattle, WA right now.  The only city in the nation that seems to be hanging in the 70′s… lucky you!  Made a quick stop in my favorite store Forever 21 yesterday.  Nothing in particular stood out except these gorgeous, sheer lacy tops above.  They make for a perfect layering piece.  I was stoked to spot the bustier top (2nd pic) but none of the sizes fit me right.  What a bummer because the color was a perfect shade in between blue & lavender.  Loose lace tops are also a must-have especially in warm months.  I wear it over a tank or a bra for a sexy peek-a-boo.  Here are some of my favorite lace tops.  How do you wear lace tops or do you even like them?

One summer day

by Sophie on July 15, 2010

It was a bitter sweet day in the park by the lake.  It would have been perfect if it was 20 degrees cooler but we somehow managed to do a video & snapped a few pics.  Still lucky to be surrounded by luscious greenery here back east.  Found this floral dress at Belk.  The Belk store screams mom’s shop but you’ll be amazed at the things you find at places you least expect like this cute dress from their clearance rack.  I’m not big on flower anything really but the dress is covered with tiny floral prints that give off a lovely vintage vibe.  I went light with accessories.  Thanks Casio for the awesome Baby-G digital watch!

Leopard luv

by Sophie on July 7, 2010

Linea by Louis Dell’Olio leopard print blouse from QVC, Forever 21 jacket,
bebe shorts, Madison boots from Belk, Anthropologie sunglasses

The silk leopard blouse above was a gift from my mother-in-law.  She tends to buy me leopardy things.  Clothes from QVC seem to run large though… the blouse is xtra small yet fits like a medium.  Bought the bebe shorts several years ago and they are still as good as new.  If you like the look of my sunglasses, they are Lissome Glasses from Anthropologie.  By the way, these photos were taken back in April of this year.  Hopefully the weather cools down here soon.  I don’t like being in the blistering heat let alone taking photos.

I had to share these Jeffrey Campbell Foxy platforms with you before they are completely sold out at Nasty Gal.  Leopard print + killer chunky platform… takes my breath away.  Just looking at these lovelies makes my heart jolt.  But if you are not fond of cat prints check out these Jessica Simpson Dany platforms in black and brown.  Quite similar in design, equally gorgeous but cheaper.  Here is a photo from apparellel wearing Dany platforms.  Luuuuuvv!

I’m a fan of the Jessica Simpson Collection especially the shoes.  So, what kind of shoes gets your heart pumping?  Do tell!

Wild print

by Sophie on June 26, 2010

Vertigo Paris blouse from second-hand shop, DKNY jeans, Richard Tyler sandals from 6pm,
Liz Claiborne sunglasses, belt from Target, Bag by Necessary Objects from TJ Maxx

Nice and sunny… this was about two months ago before the weather started heating up.  There is something about shopping outdoors that makes me all giddy.

The python(?) print blouse was a steal from a local thrift shop.  I scooped it up for only $15.  In good condition like it was brand new.  The texture is so smooth… almost slimy.  Light as a feather, kept me nice and cool all day long.  The attached scarf can hang loose or tie it as a bow.

These sandals fit like a glove.  Bought the pair from 6pm on a crazy sale.  My latest nail polish find is Essie in Chinchilly.  The murky gray is almost hypnotic.
